Major IT maintenance
Planned essential work to our computer systems will take place between 6pm on Thursday 29 January and 8am Monday 2 February.
Council services will remain open on Friday 30 January. However, we will not have access to any of our computer systems during this period.
Webforms and emails sent during this period will not arrive until Monday 2 February when full service resumes.
Online payments will be available.
If your enquiry is not urgent, you may wish to wait until full services are available on Monday 2 February.

Credit card charges
Credit card payments are subject to an additional charge. This covers the amount we are charged by banks for processing credit card payments. Details of this charge will be displayed before you confirm acceptance of your payment and there is an option to cancel the transaction should you wish.
Note: These charges do not apply for Penalty Charge Notices.

Confirmation of your transaction
You can be sure your transaction has worked if you see the final confirmation screen, which acts as a receipt. Your account will be debited within the next two working days.
Security of online payments
Our online payments site is a secure and safe environment for you to make payments. The information you send us is encrypted, which means that nobody can read it as it travels across the internet. When you are on the payment screen you will see a padlock symbol on your internet browser, you can click on this to check the secure status of our web server and view our security certificate.
If your card is registered with Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure Code you will be asked to enter your username and password during your online transaction. You may also be asked to answer additional security questions. This is to ensure that your card isn't being used fraudulently.

Problems with making an online payment
If you experience a problem making your online payment you can email us for advice at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Requesting a receipt
The final screen will provide a receipt for your payments and this can be printed out. Alternatively, you can enter your email address and request a receipt to be emailed to you.
