Make an online payment

4 March 2010 - please note: Payments made by credit card will be subject to an additional charge which equates to the card transaction charge currently levied on the Council by operating banks. Details of this charge will be displayed before you confirm acceptance of your payment and there is an option to cancel the transaction should you wish.

This transaction charge applies to credit card payments only, not debit card payments. These charges do not apply for penalty charge notices.

We accept online payments for the following:

  • Parking tickets
  • Council tax
  • Business rates (NNDR)
  • Housing rent
  • Invoices (for example, building control inspection payments)
  • Overpayment of benefits

We accept the following credit and debit cards:

  • Visa *
  • MasterCard *
  • Maestro
  • Delta
  • Electron
  • Solo
  • JCB

Confirmation of your transaction

You can be sure your transaction has worked if you see the final confirmation screen, which acts as a receipt. Your account will be debited within the next two working days.

Security of online payments

Our online payments site is a secure and safe environment for you to make payments. The information you send us is encrypted, which means that nobody can read it as it travels across the internet. When you are on the payment screen you will see a padlock symbol on your internet browser, you can click on this to check the secure status of our web server and view our security certificate.

If your card is registered with Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure Code you will be asked to enter your username and password during your online transaction. You may also be asked to answer additional security questions. This is to ensure that your card isn't being used fraudulently.

Problems with making an online payment

If you experience a problem making your online payment you can email us for advice at: cash.office@wycombe.gov.uk.

Requesting a receipt

The final screen will provide a receipt for your payments and this can be printed out. Alternatively, you can enter your email address and request a receipt to be emailed to you.
