Our licensing policy
Our licensing policy under the Licensing Act 2003 shows how we operate in determining applications and how licensing decisions are made.
We are monitoring the impact of the Act on crime and disorder and shall review the policy accordingly.
Licensing policy consultation
In January 2005, following an extensive consultation process, we published our Statement of Licensing Policy in relation to alcohol and entertainment licensing as required by the Licensing Act 2003. A further requirement of the act is that the policy is reviewed at least every three years. The last review was carried out in 2010. In reviewing the policy we consulted with specific statutory bodies and those that may be affected by it or otherwise have an interest in the policy statement.
If you have any queries about the Licensing Act and our policy please contact us. Further information about to the act can also be obtained from the Department of Culture, Media and Sport using the web link below.
