Staff and volunteers are preparing to shut the doors at Wycombe Museum from Monday 8 June to allow major internal refurbishment to take place. Wycombe Museum is one of Wycombe's much-loved Grade 2 listed buildings. Refurbishment work includes installation of a lift and adding a new cafe, shop and toilets.

Work starts today (21 May) on phase 1 of Wycombe's new Westbourne Street link. Buckinghamshire County Council contractors are expected to take 22 weeks and aim to finish the project in October.
